Retrieves forest land by installing boundary pillars

Poonch, Mar 22: Forest Department Poonch conducted a successful drive for installation of boundary pillars on forest land at Dhokri Forest along with FPF and Police staff of P/S Poonch, despite such rainy conditions.
The drive was conducted under the supervision of DFO Poonch Mohan Choudhary. On the basis of joint survey, work of installing boundary pillar in Dhokri Forest, Poonch Block of Haveli range was under progress but on 19-03-2021, in order to encroach upon forest land, vested interested persons gathered on spot raised some dispute and created hurdles in smooth execution of Govt. work by not allowing installation of Boundary pillars on forest land.
DFO Poonch Mohan Choudhary, has directed Range Officer Haveli Nissar Hussain to discuss issue with Tehsildar Haveli Anjum Khatak and a joint team of field staff of revenue & forest revisited spot on 20-03-2021 to include berun area in demarcated khasra no. 215 of forest.
DFO Poonch immediately planned for execution of the drive on Monday. Accordingly, today 22-03-2021, Forest Department conducted a successful drive for installation of boundary pillars on forest land at Dhokri Forest along with FPF and Police staff of P/S Poonch, despite such rainy conditions.
Field staff of the joint team has tackled resistance in a very professional manner. Moreover, God has helped in driving by holding rain for some interval and 15 boundary pillars have been installed on forest land, covered by a challenging site.
In consideration to the urgency and importance of installation of BP’s in light of SAVE PIL & FRA, DFO Poonch has discussed the issue with DC Poonch Inder jeet for kind direction to concerned revenue officers to expedite joint survey exercise. DC Poonch has immediately directed concerned revenue staff for needful and informed DFO Poonch to direct range officers to liaison with concerned authority so that full progress can be achieved in a time bound manner.
