Oath-taking Ceremony for nursing students held at BGSBU

RAJOURI, Apr 9: College of Nursing, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Rajouri organized Oath taking & Lamp lighting and ceremony of the fifth batch of BSc. Nursing students, held at the University auditorium.
Prof. Akbar Masood, Vice Chancellor of the University, who was the Chief Guest on the occasion, asked the nursing students to maintain the highest standards of their profession and inculcate a sense of empathy and commitment. Hailing the contribution of Nurses during Covid-19 pandemic, Prof. Akbar said that the Nurses are our real heroes, who are working tirelessly at the frontlines, risking their own lives to save the lives of others. On the occasion, Prof. Akbar Masood, congratulated the Principal, faculty and students of the Nursing College on achieving this milestone and assured full support to them.
The ceremony commenced with the procession of the first year B.Sc. Nursing students, followed by prayer song by the College choir. Followed by the invocation, all dignitaries lit the Florence Nightingale lamp and passed on the luminosity to the Nursing fraternity on the dais. Dr Titi Xavier Principal, College of Nursing, Rajouri recited the Florence Nightingale pledge and the students recapitulated it committing them to the noble profession.
Prof Iqbal Parwez, Dean Academic Affairs, Mohd Ishaq, Registrar and Suneet Gupta, OSD Nursing Colleges were present during the event. The faculty and students of the Nursing College actively participated in the event.
