Early Times Report
jammu, Apr 9: In a shocking revelation, during the Peoples Democratic Party- Bharatiya Janta Party alliance, a leader from the PDP had been inviting "conduit" of militant outfits to his official residence in high security Gupkar area of Srinagar.
Sources said the National Investigative Agency or NIA has got access to information with regard to such shocking developments having taken place in the then government establishment of Jammu and Kashmir.
Sources said the NIA has evidence that the said PDP leader, presently under detention, was part of the "conspiracy" to raise and transfer militancy funds to one militant outfit operating from Pakistan.
Sources said the NIA has inputs that the PDP leader held several meetings with the said "conduit" at his official residence in Gupkar Road - where VIPs and other highly protected persons reside.
Sources said the claims as made by the NIA have put the security agencies on tenterhooks in Kashmir.
"When militant conduits have had access to high security area where at least three of the former Chief Ministers and several other high profile people reside, the risk factor due to such breach of trust can only be imagined," said a senior official on the condition of anonymity.
Sources said the "conduit" of militants was arrested on January 11, 2020 and that during his interrogation the revelations came to forth of his contact with the PDP leader. Sources said it was only after the arrest of the "conduit" that the NIA arrested the PDP leader, who continues to be under detention.
The PDP, however, has been terming the charges as leveled against its detained leader as baseless.
As per the PDP, the government action is part of the "witch-hunt to muzzle the voice of the party" for speaking against the Bharatiya Janta Party and its "anti Kashmir policies."
The PDP says that said leader is a nationalist adding that his image was being maligned.
