FCS&CA team conducts market checking drive in Batote

RAMBAN, Apr 9: Department of Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs today conducted market inspection to check rates and wearing of face masks by shopkeepers in main market Batote.
The drive was conducted by a joint team of enforcement departments under overall supervision of the Assistant Director FCS&CA Ramban, Dr. Nasir Ahmed Bhat.
Naib Tehsildar, Batote, Jugal Kishore, Tehsil Supply Officer, Waheed Gari along with police officials checked mutton, chicken, milk and kiryana shops besides vegetable and fruit vendors and booked various erring traders for certain violations, The team realized a fine of Rs. 2000 from the erring traders.
TSO instructed shopkeepers to ensure quality of essential commodities, besides displaying rate lists and selling commodities on the rates fixed by Department/Associations. Moreover, the business establishments were also made aware about different rules and regulation of the department in vogue.
The enforcement teams warned shops and business establishments to adhere to the COVID-19 SOPs and other preventative measures issued by the Government to prevent the spread of Covid-19 infections.
