Development works worth Rs1.15 crore completed under Elementary Education in Samba district

SAMBA, Apr 9: Development works involving Rs 1.15 crore including 14 boundary walls and 1 school building have been completed under Elementary Education in district samba under district Capex budget.
According to the work statement of Elementary Education under district Capex budget 2020-21, boundary walls were constructed at Government Middle Schools Nud, Vijaypur, Thalori, Sumbli, Pacholi, Khabba and Odh; Government. Primary Schools Thanwal, Gharan, Radyal and Mandi Dansal; at Government Upper Primary Schools Dessain and at Government High School Chak Sadda, Ghagwal and Katli. One project of conversion of Barrak into six class rooms at HSS Nandpur has also been completed.
The financial implication of boundary walls stood at Rs 1.01 crore while remaining 13.35 Lakh were expended on upgrading the School building. Two projects are in pipeline for completion at a cost of Rs 7.07 lakh. District Development Commissioner, Anuradha Gupta, has emphasised upon early completion of all the ongoing development works under district Capex budget. She also exhorted upon all the executing agencies to handover the projects to the school Education department in time.
