Jagran Smiti demands night curfew relaxation to organise Jagrata

JAMMU, Apr 9: Jammu and Kashmir Jagran Sewa Samiti Association has urged the Lieutenant Governor as well as the district administration to give some relaxation from night curfew to conduct 'Matarani Ka Jagrata' in upcoming Navaratras.
The members of the Jagran Association led by its president Darshan Pataka held a protest demonstration at the Press Club today and raised slogans in support of their demands.
While speaking to media person, Darshan Pataka said that already artists associated with jagran have been reeling under the great distress and suffered huge loss due to COVID last year and now when things were seen improving but again spike in corona cases and the night curfew in some district in the reason has sent them a great shock.
"We want to urge LG to allow them to conduct Jagran with 200 gathering so that they might not suffer loss this year also. There are hundreds of families associated with this profession likely to face starvation, even no relief was given to them by the administration for their sustenance," he said.
