Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 14: Some officials in Municipal Council Rajouri have allegedly included the names of their relatives in the regularization list of Safai-karamcharis.
Sources told Early Times that the Director Urban Local Bodies Jammu had issued an order seeking list of Safai-karamcharies from Municipal Council, who had completed seven years of regular services and were eligible for regularization.
“It was shocking to note that names of some relatives of officials of MC Rajouri figured in the regularization list,” sources claimed.
They further alleged that those who had been working regularly and had completed their seven years of service were shunted out of the list and undeserving people were included.
Meanwhile when the concerned Executive Officer was contacted, he termed allegations of discrepancies in the regularization list as baseless.
SMC workers have appealed to the Lieutenant Governor and Deputy Commissioner Rajouri to take a note of the discrepancy and act against the officials involved in the act.
