DIC organises signature campaign at New Bus stand Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, Apr 29: As a part of the “Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav (India@75) celebration and COVID-19 Dos’s & Don’ts, a signature campaign was organized by District Information Center Udhampur in collaboration with local NGO ‘ Jiyo Aur Jeene Do’ here at New Bus Stand Udhampur.
Officials of the Information Department and representatives of Local NGO made the common masses aware about Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav.
They said it is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate the 75 years of progressive India. They also informed about the glorious history of India, its people, culture and achievements. The people show their keen interest in the signature campaign.
The People from all walks of life participated in the programme. During the campaign, Officials of the Information department and representatives of local NGO also sensitized the people about coronavirus disease and distributed face masks, pamphlets containing awareness material among the common masses. The people were advised to adhere to social distancing, Use hand Sanitizer, Wash hands and wear face masks for preventing the spread of the CoronaVirus.
Among others, President of the NGO, Tariq Shah, Officials of the Information Department, including Jiwan Singh, Sonam Mahajan, Rajesh Gupta, Amit Kumar, Rakesh Kumar, Vijay Kumar, besides representatives of the NGO were present on the occasion.
