Isolation facility in Panchayats: Committees constituted to monitor functioning: DC Doda

DODA, MAY 21: The district administration Doda has started the process of setting up Isolation facility in each Panchayat of District as per the instructions of J7K Government.
A 5 bedded Covid Care facility would be setp in every Panchayat for which locations have been identified besides, resources and manpower mobolised, said Deputy Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma, while briefing the press about the covid containment and management measures taken by the district administration amid the second wave.
He said Panchayat monitoring covid management team, will include Sarpanchs, Panchs, Secretary Panchayat, Asha and Anganwadi workers.
‘Besides there shall be an incharge Nodal officer of health department on every 5 Panchayats who shall ensure hassle free functioning of the CC Centres and shifting of the patient with severe symptoms to the nearest dedicated covid care centre.”
The DC also informed that at present there are a total 1063 active covid cases in district, including 997 in home isolation and their monitoring was being ensured through proper mechanism in place.
He further informed that testing has been increased from 300 to 1000 per day in the district. At present there are 11 containment zones in the district and 100% testing was being ensured to check the spread of COVID-19 virus.
