Need to combat ‘third wave’ collectively: Kavinder
5/22/2021 12:04:35 AM

EARLY TIMES REPORT

Jammu, May 21: The probable third wave of coronavirus which is ‘likely’ to hit J&K UT can be tackled collectively by people extending wholehearted support to the government in its endeavours to nip this ‘evil’ in bud. This was stated in a statement issued by senior BJP leader and former DyCM Kavinder Gupta here on Friday.
Applauding the Lieutenant Governor’s administration for its farsighted move in dealing with any upcoming exigency on account of third wave of COVID-19 through newly constituted task force, the senior BJP leader said that government has taken a prudent step by setting up a team of expert and efficient professionals to assess the dangers involved and carry out necessary preparations to successfully nullify the impact as soon as the same hits the UT.
Kavinder said that the reports with regard to the upcoming danger of third wave demands that people should stop taking undue liberties in venturing out during lockdown and even after the same is lifted. He said that adapting to COVID-19 appropriate behaviour has become more important looking into the risks involved in the third wave of the pandemic.
Kavinder said that community behaviour matters a lot in containing the virus and this will decide whether there will be a third wave of the COVID-19 or not.
