5/29/2021 10:50:15 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, May 29: The former Deputy Chief Minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader, Kavinder Gupta has urged the people to focus on maintaining the strong immunity level as it works as the first defence against the deadly Coronavirus.
He stated this while addressing people after inaugurating an immunity-boosting medicine distribution camp here today. Sharda Devi, Corporator Ward No: 47 provided all the assistance for the camp that was organized by the staff of GAD Shahabad Bahu Fort at Community Hall Press Morh Bahu, under the guidance of Director ISM, Dr Mohan Singh and supervision of ADMO Jammu, Dr Suresh Sharma.
The former Dy CM said that the BJP workers and activists under the supervision and guidance of the leaders are working relentlessly at the grass root level attending to the problems of the people during the ongoing second wave of Covid-19 pandemic.
He said that besides the immunity boosting medicines people also need to have good diet that is a sin qua non for optimum immunity. Since there is a substantial number of people who can’t afford the same due to poverty or because of no income due to Corona curfew, the party is making every effort to reach out these needy people and provide them not only immunity boosting medicines but also free ration and necessary food material.
Gupta assured the people that the Bharatiya Janata Party shall continue to stand with the people in this hour of crisis and hold regular camps to provide all sorts of assistance in the shape of ration, medical facilities, etc. to them at this critical juncture.
During the camp which was attended by a large number of people of the locality, free immunity-boosting medicines were distributed among more than 200 persons till noon.
Corporator Sharda Devi thanked the staff of GAD Shahabad Bahu Fort, Director ISM, Dr Mohan Singh and ADMO Jammu, Dr Suresh Sharma for their valuable efforts towards making the camp successful.
She appealed to the people to sacredly follow the SOPs and precautions announced by the Govt from time to time to save themselves from the deadly virus onslaught. Those present on the occasion included Sunny Sangotra, Vivek Patyal, Dalbir Singh, Subash Kumar, Surinder Patyal, Baldev Nargotra, Parshotam Lal, Manohar Lal, Sumit Kumar, Des Raj, Tarsem Kumar and Rakesh Kumar.
Meanwhile, Kavinder Gupta also inaugurated the blood donation camp organized by BJP Mahila Morcha in the Blood Bank of SMGS Hospital Jammu.
Kavinder Gupta appreciated the efforts of BJP women wing for taking up this noble cause of donating blood. He said that there is no substitute for human blood because it cannot be manufactured in laboratories.
“Donating blood is a noble cause and a selfless act which helps save lives. Giving blood to someone in need is a gift, and just as important as donating organs since it’s like offering someone a chance at life. Donating your blood to someone is one of the most positive ways to help someone in need,” he maintained.
