Independent probe by SC judge can bring out truth into huge scam of illegal mining worth crores : Congress | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 29: Taking strong exception to the series of distortions and distractions by Vikram's Randhawa ormer MLC and senior BJP leader , after his public outbursts of very serious nature regarding the involvement of big fishes in the huge scam of illegal mining of crores of rupees, the Congress has said that it stands vindicated that the truth into the whole matter is not possible without an independent and impartial probe preferably by a supreme court judge . In a hard hitting statement, JKPCC said that people are witnesses to the series of disclosures by Randhawa leveling serious allegations against various higher ups in the government and administration about their alleged involvement into a huge scam of illegal mining worth crores ,despite high court ban, who even threatened to not only self immolate himself but also kill a senior officer, but the centre government and UT administration were seen a mute spectator except attempts to belittle and divert the issue with a view to hush up the matter. Even another senior BJP leader and former Dy CM too echoed the allegations of Randhawa , sending shivers in the BJP leadership to patch up and hush up the issue. In the process, Randhawa was seen resorting to distortions and distractions of various sorts with a view to grind his own axe and he forgot his original claim of being the voice and messiah of the common people, who are being crushed for sky rocket prices of sand and bajri but solely became the protector of the interests of few stone crusher owners and he himself. He also forget his demand for a CBI enquiry into the whole issue but seemed satisfied with the transfer of the officer and interim relief on the penalty from the court . JKPCC chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma said that the issue is no longer an internal matter of the BJP but a matter of greater public importance apart from alleged huge scam of crores of rupees, which according to the leader of owners of stones crushers, runs into 300-400 crores of rupees and was not only totally illegal but a serious contempt of the high court. The allegations have been supported by none less than a former Dy CM of BJP. The counter reply by one of the officer named by Randhawa, also made startling revelations, that the electricity bills of lakhs of rupees against the stone crusher owners, despite High Court ban , is another serious angle to the whole controversy indicating a very high level nexus ,involving higher ups and multiple hands in the system of governance and administration. More serious thing is that this has happened all these years despite High Court ban, in clear contempt of the court orders for which serious note should have been taken to identify all those to be punished for blatant violation of court orders. The party said that taking advantage of the grim Covid situation the BJP or the government want to hurry and burry the serious issue allegedly involving several higher ups in the government, but the congress won't allow the issue to be hushed up and would fight for the high level independent probe into the matter in a time bound manner, and would press prime minister to order a high level probe in the light of repeated assertions to eliminate corruption.
