Thannamandi, May 29: Department of History, Govt. Degree College Thannamandi, Rajouri(J&K)under the theme Aazadika Amrit Mahotasav in collaboration with the Cultural and Literary Committee of the College successfully conducted National Level Quiz competition on India’s Freedom Struggle (1885-1947).
The quiz was organized under the patron-ship of Prof. (Dr.) Javaid Ahmed Qazi, principal of the College and Prof.Raheela Mushtaq, event co-ordinator. The quiz was organized by Dr. Bashir Ahmad Bhat, Lecturer Department of History. 332 students from different Institutions of the country including JamiaMillia Islamia Delhi, Jiwaji University Gwalior, Barkatullah University Bhopal, Bundelkhand University Jhansi, Aligarh Muslim University U.P., BGSB University Rajouri, University of Kashmir Srinagar, University of Jammu and various degree colleges of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir participated in the quiz.
The printable e-certificates were awarded to all such participants who secured more than 50 percent marks in the quiz. Prof. (Dr.) Javaid Ahmed Qazi, Principal of the College, congratulated and appreciated the History department for organizing the event. He emphasized that such events arehelpful for the students to evaluate their knowledge about Indian History and improve their skills and preparation for the future competitive examinations. |
