Surankote, May 29: Department of Political Science Govt. Degree College Surankote organised a student webinar on ‘Relevance of Gandhian Philosophy in Modern Era’.
Around 50 participants from different institutions participated in the webinar. Dr. Naseer Ahmed Kalis, Head Department of Political Science welcomed all the participants and gave detailed deliberations on Gandhian philosophy through a PPT Presentation.
He stressed that in the present era of war and violence all over the world, there is an urgent need to embrace and follow the Gandhian philosophy of non-violence. He stressed on Ahimsa, non-violence, trusteeship, equality, democratic decentralisation, sarvodaya etc.
Irfana Shaheen, student of semester 6th, Govt. Degree College Surankote also gave her presentation on Gandhian philosophy.
Danish Javed, Research Scholar, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi also spoke on the topic. This webinar was conducted under the overall supervision of Dr. Jasbir Singh, Principal Govt. Degree College Surankote. |
