People dying of covid, BJP celebrating 7 years of Modi government: JKPCC takes dig at BJP
5/30/2021 12:13:51 AM

Early Times Report

Jammu, May 29: Hitting hard at the BJP for celebrating the Seven years of Modi government tomorrow amidst lakhs of people dying and undergoing huge sufferings due to Covid mismanagement of the centre government, JKPCC alleged that BJP is insensitive to the sufferings of the people.
JKPCC said that there is nothing to celebrate or remember the worst seven years regime of the Modi government but celebrating it in any manner amidst huge human tragedy and sufferings speaks of the insensitivity of the ruling BJP which is worried about the image and political prospects of the party.
The 7 years of BJP government headed by Narinder Modi saw multiple failures and manmade disaster for the people especially due to its flawed economic policies and pro crony capitalist- programs leading to anti farmers, anti poor and anti Youth approach and actions.
The farmers in the country are on war path for around one year and observed black day on May 26 when Modi government had taken over in 2014. This is first time that all farmers in the country are unanimous that the new laws are against their interest and need to be repealed but the government is adamant. Remember, the Modi govt had come to power on the slogan of ending the farmers’ suicides and doubling their income.
The highest percentage of unemployment in last 45 years is another hallmark of the failure of the policies of the Modi government which came to power on the promise of two crore jobs to youth annually. This is apart from the large scale unemployment and retrenchments due to demonetization and the Covid leading the crores of people losing jobs in private sector.
The ill advised demonetization brought the people on the knees as the people lost their lives and livelihood lined up before banks with the false hope of a better future , end of black money, breaking of backbone of terrorism and end of fake currency. But it ended up with huge sufferings to common man and shrinking of business activities and job opportunities.
The Modi government promised controlling price rise and inflation and give impetus to GDP. But the highest price rise of all commodities , huge taxes in the economic distress by Modi government and high inflation with rupee falling to record low to US dollar apart from the lowest ever GDP of minus 24 , has exposed the utter mismanagement of the economy of the country by the Modi government. No further evidence of its economic blinders need to be cited.
The Modi government indulged in large scale privatisations and selling of the assets of the government and semi government organisations which will be detrimental to the interests of the nation especially the working class and the unemployed youth besides monopolised exploitation of consumers in the hands of private capitalist-
On foreign Front, the relations with Pakistan and China remained at their worst and in a warring mode. While a country like Pakistan resorted to grave provocations by resorting to record number of shellings besides series of attacks on highly important installations, and still attempts at provocations, the Chinese after more than 45yrs have launched a bloody interventions on our territory with twenty of our brave jawans sacrificing their lives to thwart Chinese aggression however the statement of the Prime Minister Modi was highly unfortunate and lowered the morale of our forces. Still China is playing hide and seek and policy of deceit and treachery, as indicated from the statements of our generals.
Jammu and Kashmir suffered the most due to the different experimental steps of the BJP government especially the disbanding, dividing and downgrading of the historically important State into UTs , one without a legislature and another with s powerless institution of legislature from once a powerful elected institution in country, although the time limit of its coming into existence not certain.
The historical Dogra state saw its identity and powers and exclusive rights of its citizens to land and jobs, getting stripped thus opening its limited resources and jobs and business opportunities to outside people rendering our own people jobless and without trade and business opportunity, like witnessed in the case of mines and wines in J and K.
Those who were overwhelmed by the abrogation of special status and the experiment of UT are dismayed a lot as the misgovernance has been coupled with arrogance and corruption without any accountability and sense of responsiveness which has converted the false hopes and fake dreams into despair and frustration amongst people especially Youth.
Of course, the handling of covid situation has been the biggest failure of the Modi government and a class example of its insensitive and callous approach towards the lives of the citizens.
The first’ wave of covid played havoc with the migrant labourers and the poorest due to mismanaged sudden lockdown, the failure of the govt to wake up to the alarm bells of experts and its lack any preparations for the second wave , brought untold miseries , deaths and destruction with over 1.50 lakhs admittedly perishing in just two months out around 3.20 lakhs Covid deaths so far , as per official data. The scenes of bodied floating on the water of holy river Ganga and on its shores were never heard of earlier in the history.
In this kind of situation, JKPCC questioned the BJP for its decision to celebrate the seven years of Modi government in whatever form but neither anything to celebrate except the hardships to each and every section nor the occasion when the countrymen are facing the worst ever tragedies and sufferings compounded by the utter neglect and failures of the Modi government, said JKPCC leadership.
