DIPR’s Cultural Wing organises Musical Webinar on COVID safety

JAMMU, June26:- In an effort to spread the message of the importance of adopting COVID Appropriate Behaviour, the Cultural Wing of the Department of Information & Public Relations (DIPR) in Collaboration with Government Women College, Parade, Jammu organized a Webinar which witnessed intellectual debate amalgamated with music to spread the message COVID Appropriate behaviour among the youth.
Principal of the College, Dr. S.P. Saraswat was the chief guest on the occasion. Jagdeep Singh, Administrative Officer, National Health Mission and Dr. Piyali Arora, Assistant Professor acted as judges in the programme. The proceeding of the programme was conducted by Dr. Gurpreet Kour.
As many as 10 students of the institution participated in the webinar and expressed their views on the topic. Anjali Parihar, was adjudged the best speaker. The Second position was shared by Palvasha & Khushi and third position was clinched by Kushangi.
Between the discussions, musical presentations by the artists of the Cultural Wing of DIPR on the subject of COVID- its prevention and precaution rendered greater meaning to the conversation. Pertinent to mention here that the DIPR artists have been propagating the message of COVID Appropriate Behaviour rendering small jingles and songs in the local languages so that people especially the rural population are made aware about it.
Dr. S.P. Saraswat lauded the efforts of the Cultural Wing of DIPR in organizing the event of great importance. He called upon the students starting from their families to spread the message of COVID Appropriate Behaviour among the masses. He urged the department for holding more such programmes in the different educational institutions for the general awareness of youngsters. Jagdeep Singh, who was a judge on the occasion also made the participants and attendees aware about the topic.Dr. Mohammad Majeed, Dr. Pervaiz, Drama Instructors DIPR, senior artists of Information Department, staff members and a large number of the students also attended the webinar.
