Injured cow rescued late night but still critical, needs specialized treatment

Jammu, July 1: Taking cognizance of the video-story run by Early Times regarding a badly injured cow lying just one kilometer ahead of tourist destination Padri along Bhaderwah-Chamba road was rescued at late night hours of Wednesday.
The video story of the injured cow, whose rear legs were badly fractured and was unable to stand, was widely seen and shared after which the District Development Council Doda Chairman Davander Singh as well as Sanatan Dharam Sabha Bhaderwah Virender Razdan acted promptly.
Razdan informed Early Times that with the help of Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Municipality officers and workers and police personnel, the injured cow was rescued and brought to Bhaderwah town at around 2 AM on Thursday.
Razdan said the cow has been shifted to a room near a government school, where treatment is being given but as per reports, the condition of the cow is still critical and it needs specialized treatment.
Razdan assured that he has taken up the matter with the Animal Husbandry department as well as with Animal Welfare Board and would ensure proper treatment to the innocent creature.
Vice president of United Bhaderwah Civil Society Rajat Kotwal also pursued the matter with the concerned authorities for treatment of cow.
