Early Times Report

BARAMULLA, July 2: Jammu and Kashmir police on Friday claimed to have foiled an ex-filtration bid after they detained four individuals, including a guide when they were on way towards LoC for ex-filtration to Pakistan in Uri area of this north Kashmir district.
Sources said that, Baramulla Police received specific intelligence reports that three local boys were received by one Parvaiz Hajam of Gohallan Uri in order to ex-filtrate them to Pakistan through Gowhallan village of Uri sector.
Police acted swiftly after they received inputs about the ex-filtration bid, a special team was headed by Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Uri Junaid Wali who intercepted the group and arrested the said guide along with three local youth, said sources.
The arrested youth have been identified as Mohammad Shafi Hajam s/o Abdul Ahad Hajam, Reyaz Ahmad Bhat s/o Manzoor Ahmad r/o of Sheeri Mirhar and Yasir Bhat s/o Ghulam Mohammad r/p Chatloora Sopore, said police in a statement.
Police said that some incriminating material like sharp knives, torches and other things were recovered from their possession.
Reports said that, three youth were doing their local businesses in their respected villages, we are trying to know what actually lead them to ex-filtrate to the other side of Line of Control (LoC), adding most possibility of the ex-filtration could have been to get arms training from Pakistan administered Kashmir.
However reports also said that after detaining the four people, a case under relevant section of law was registered and investigation was set into motion.
Pertinently, in the past a joint team of security forces have foiled various infiltration bids across north Kashmir, while as many times Narco terror modules were also busted in other parts of north Kashmir.
