Early Times Report

RAMGARH, Aug 20: A protest demonstration was staged by farmers outside the Tehsil office under the aegis of Border Kisan Union against the electricity department for unscheduled and long power outages.
Mohan Singh Bhati, president of Border Kisan Union, who was leading the protest, said that due to lack of electricity, the paddy crop has turned pale forcing the farmer to commit suicide.
He said that the farmers have not received the compensation for the crop that was damaged during last season.
Mohan Singh said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi says that the government is trying to double the income of the farmer of the country, but the income of the farmers is getting depleted day by day. In this regard, he submitted a memorandum in the name of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to Tehsildar Ramgarh Tarsem Lal to fulfill the demands of the farmers.
Tehsildar Ramgarh assured them of help. After handing over the memorandum, all the farmers demonstrated in the Ramgarh market. During the demonstration, slogans like Modi government dead, electricity department dead, fulfill our demands.
The angry farmers kept the road closed for two hours. On the other hand, Union President Mohan Singh Bhatti talked with District Commissioner Anuradha Gupta.
The farmers have demanded from the administration that soon the undeclared cuts in Ramgarh area should be stopped.
