Babus desperate to sabotage Centre’s initiatives, alleges veteran BJP leader

Early Times Report

Jammu, Aug 20 :Friday’s press conference of veteran BJP leader and former minister, Sukhnandan Choudhary has authenticated the allegations that some bureaucrats in the Union Territory are working overtime to reverse all positive developments after the abrogation of Article 370 and 35-A.
Instead of forwarding the visionary agenda of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP leaders, some Babus are just enjoying the privileges being provided to them as per the protocol of the system.
Sukhnandan Choudhary today alleged that authorities are still demanding Permanent Resident Certificates (PRCs) for police recruitment.
He appealed to the LG administration to direct the J&K Police to issue a corrigendum concerning an advertisement of March 2019 for the recruitment of women constables in border battalions.
As per an official handout issued by the BJP, Choudhary said that through an advertisement on March 09, 2019, J&K Police had invited applications for recruitment of women as constables in two border battalions for ten border districts of Jammu and Kashmir, which included Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Rajouri, Poonch, Baramulla, Kupwara, Bandipora, Leh and Kargil.
In response to the said advertisement, women had applied while enclosing copies of Permanent Resident Certificates (PRCs) or under process certificates with the application forms. The candidates were asked to appear in the ground test at the time when the state was reorganized after the abrogation of Article 370 and many among them had procured Domicile Certificates. While appearing in the ground test, some of them provided copies of PRCs, many came with Domicile Certificates and under process Domicile Certificates. “Domicile Certificates were accepted during the ground test then but now before conducting the written list, the candidates have been directed to produce only Permanent Resident Certificates by August 25”, he pointed out.
Sukhnandan Choudhary said that after the reorganization of the erstwhile State, Permanent Residents Certificates (PRCs) have no relevance as the people are being issued Domicile Certificates and hence the J&K Police should accept the same from the women candidates appearing in the written test.
