JU organizes online quiz competition

Jammu, Aug 20: National Service Scheme (NSS), Campus Units and Office of the Programme Coordinator NSS, University of Jammu, Jammu sponsored by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt. of India today successfully concluded National Level Online- national online quiz competition.
The quiz was open to all participants like NSS Volunteers, Students, Scholars, Teachers, Alumni .Parents etc.
The quiz contained 20 questions and each question carried 5 marks. The pass percentage of qualifying the quiz was 40%. About 1584 participants all over India participated in the quiz. Participants from different areas which included Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Digboi ,Bihar, Madurai, Tamil Nadu ,Chandigarh, Bangalore, Mysuru, Rajasthan, Odisha, West Bengal, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Amritsar, Ranchi, Maharashtra ,Kolkata, Telangana, Mangalore, Assam, Dibrugarh, Jammu, Kashmir, Kargil, Himachal –Pradesh and Uttar-Pradesh participated in Online – quiz competition.
About 126 participants secured 100% while 184 participants achieved 95% and 275 participants achieved 90%, 275 secured 85%, 212 secured 80 %, 181 secured 75% and 68 secured 70%. In all 1500 participants got qualified for online quiz.
The participants, who successfully qualified the quiz, were awarded with an appreciation digital certificate which was received by them on their e-mail.
All the participants participated in the event with zeal and enthusiasm.
Prof. Manoj K.Dhar, Vice-Chancellor and Chairman NSS, University of Jammu, Jammu lauded the efforts of all the participants for the successful conduct of the online event. The Online –quiz was conducted under the supervision and guidance of Prof. Neeru Sharma, Convener, NSS Campus Units and Dr.Anju Sharma Thappa , NSS Programme Coordinator, University of Jammu, Jammu.
Prof. Neeru Sharma said that such online contests are very helpful to encourage participants to sharpen their minds and update their knowledge about their nation .The event was coordinated by Dr. Savita Nayyer and
Dr. Meghna Dhar, NSS Programme Officers, NSS Campus Units, University of Jammu, Jammu with Technical Support of Vikas Pandita a Software Engineer ,TCS ,Noida who is also a senior NSS volunteer of University of Jammu and Mr. Gurdarshan, Mechanical Engineer and NSS Volunteer of JU .
