Bar elections: Babus ‘responsible’ for defeat of BJP backed candidates
Every section of society facing wrath of anarchy in administration

Early Times Report

Jammu, Aug 30: Although much-awaited elections of the prestigious Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association is purely an internal matter of lawyers, the results of these elections are a warning signal for BJP and its off-shoots.
Results of these elections have reflected people’s anger against the party due to prevailing anarchy and chaos in the Union Territory in general and Jammu province in particular.
The elections were held purely on a non-party basis but it was an open secret that some candidates were sponsored by BJP and its off-shoots and all those candidates faced a humiliating defeat people’s anger.
Wishing anonymity, a senior BJP leader said that lawyers are the cream of society, rather guiding force but they have rejected party sponsored candidates. “Results of Bar Association elections have indicated that BJP and its off-shoots are facing the wrath of misdeeds and corrupt practices of the coterie of bureaucrats who have hijacked the entire J&K administration”, he said and cautioned that wrong-doings of this new breed of bureaucrats would be proved disastrous for the party in the coming days.
Credible sources said that there is a feeling among all sections of the society that the administration in J&K is controlled by BJP so instead of pinpointing bureaucrats, who are here to only enjoy all luxuries by ignoring peoples’ woes, common masses are targeting BJP and its off-shoots.
“During the last one year, the whole administration in J&K is hijacked by a particular coterie of bureaucrats, and this group is taking all important decisions”, the BJP leader, who wished not to be quoted, said. He further said that this coterie is not only misleading Union Government but also Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha.
Sources said that the humiliating defeat of the BJP sponsored candidates in the Bar Association elections is talk of the town in Jammu throughout the day.
