GDC Jindrah conducts awareness programme under ‘POSHAN MAAH’

Jammu, Sept 9: The NSS unit of Government Degree College (GDC) Jindrah in collaboration with Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), Dansal organised an awareness programme under "Poshan Maah at Jindrah Panchayat.
In the awareness programme people from different sectors were roped in to make locals especially lactating mother and pregnant women aware of various activities under 'Poshan Maah' and various schemes associated with welfare of children, adolescent girls and women under ICDS.
The eminent personalities which were roped in to make programme a huge success were Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), Mrs Sayeeda Parveen; Health and Nutrition moblizer, Mrs Nazia Choudhary ; Supervisors viz., Mrs Vijay Jyoti, Mrs Meenakshi Kotwal Ms Anita kumari of ICDS , Dansal. along with Anganwari Helpers were also present on the occasion, who educated participants about various activities under Poshan Maah and nutritional diet that every one must have to remain healthy and strong. They also presented a folk song and distributed self cooked nutritious meal to all the participants. The other members presented on the occasion were Nayak Sarpanch, panches and other beneficiaries of panchayat Jindrah.
