GDC Darhal organizes COVID vaccination awareness workshop

Jammu, Sept 9: Awareness Workshop regarding COVID Vaccination was organized by NSS Unit of Government Degree College Darhal in which Dr. Shakeel Ahmed Khan Medical Officer from Block Medical Office Darhal motivated the students regarding the importance of COVID Vaccination. He said that free vaccination is being provided by Govt. of India and all those who are 18 plus must avail the opportunity of vaccination which increases the immunity of an individual. He also appealed the students to always make use of masks and wash their hands with soap and make use of sanitizers.
Speaking on the occasion Principal of the college Prof. Sumanesh Jasrotia appreciated the efforts of NSS Unit of the college for providing a golden opportunity regarding COVID Vaccination awareness. He said that the colleges are going to open shortly and 100% vaccination is required for such opening, otherwise the pandemic can be more deadly and spreading of the same can take place. He also motivated the NSS Volunteers to convey the message to the general masses regarding COVID Vaccination. Dr. Ather Aziz Raina NSS Programme Officer and Nodal Officer of COVID in the college gave a detail of the total number of students who have already been vaccinated and he stressed for full vaccination to all the students to start their classes at the earliest.
