LAMP organizes Conclave on Peace building, embodied leadership

JAMMU, Sept 9: Learner’s Ability Management Programme (LAMP) in collaboration with Dean, Faculty of Education, University of Jammu organized third Millennial Conclave on “Peace building and embodied leadership” on virtual platform, here today.
Prof. Renu Nanda, Dean, Faculty of Education, JU, is the begetter of LAMP. LAMP is a platform, which provides the learners a place to communicate, listen to and share ideas on emerging topics. The purpose behind is to enhance the knowledge, abilities and skills of the students, research scholars as well as various practitioners working in the area of educational research.
Ashima Kaul, Independent Peace Practitioner, Journalist and Change maker, as well as the Founder and the Managing Director of Yakjah Reconciliation and Development Network, was the key Resource Person. She laid emphasis on the importance of effective leadership as it acts as the fertilizer to grow peace in any institution. She shared some experiential references and wonderful clippings.
The concluding remarks were given by Prof. Renu Nanda, a prime example of transformational leadership. She appreciated Ashima Kaul for highlighting the importance of various kinds of leadership in maintaining peace.
Raspreet Kour delivered the formal welcome address and called this conclave a great success with the presence of participants having divergent ideas. Dr. Shefali Sharma presented the profile of the resource person, whereas, virtual bouquet was presented to the resource person by Dr. Ana Bali. Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Vivek Sharma.
The Conclave was attended by guests from Malaysia, Italy, TISS Mumbai, Gandhigram Rural Institute, Punjab University, Punjabi University, Tejpur University, School Education Department, Himachal Pradesh, NEHU, BGSBU, Rajouri, University of Ladakh, Central University of Kashmir, University of Kashmir, Cluster University of Jammu, SCERT Jammu, JKBOSE, various degree colleges, School Education Department Jammu, faculty members of Department of Education, and retired Professors of the Department. Also, the research scholars from different departments of University of Jammu and Alumni of PG Department of Education, University of Jammu, participated in the conclave.
