Early Times Report

ANANTNAG, Dec 7: Yet again, Jammu and Kashmir National Conference on Thursday targeted Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and blamed it for the abrogation of Article 370 and bifurcation of erstwhile state into two union territories. PDP is a key constituent in People's Alliance for Gupkar Declaration [PAGD] which National Conference President Farooq Abdullah heads and claims to fight for the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir which existed on 4th of August 2019. On 5 August 2019, BJP Government in New Delhi revoked Article 370 which gave special status to the erstwhile state and bifurcated Jammu and Kashmir into two Union Territories.
"PDP sold us and put us into the lap of India now they are doing whatever they like," NC Leader and Women's wing president Shameema Firdous said while addressing workers convention in Handwara district today.
NC Leader said that had PDP not joined hands with BJP we wouldn't have seen this situation [Referring to removal of Article 370 and bifurcation of J&K] "Sher-i-Kashmir Sheikh Mohmmad Abdullah had taught us not to bow down head," she added.
NC Leader also targeted Mehbooba Mufti's father late Mufti Mohd Sayeed and said that it was actually his dream to sell Kashmir to India.
"PDP split us and it was actually Mufti's dream to sell Kashmir to India," she said.
NC leader also reminded former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti of killings which Kashmir witnessed during 2016 agitation.
"When she [Mehbooba Mufti] talked about innocent killing she replied that pellets will be used if boys didn't stop venturing out," she said, adding she should have spoken at that time when many young boys and girls were losing eyesight due to pellets.
NC leader said that PDP sold Kashmir to India and now even people protesting and demanding basic amenities were also being thrown into jails.
She said that ever since its existence, the National Conference was deliberately weakened by few kashmiris which damaged our larger cause.
"A man from Srinagar has also floated a political party and here in Handwara another has also his party. These parties are created by BJP and they must be referred to as BJP parties," she added.
This isn't the first time that NC has targeted its Gupkar Alliance. A few days back former Chief Minister and Vice-President Omar Abdullah expressed similar views and said that PDP's tie-up with BJP was responsible for revocation of Article 370.
