Performance of banks reviewed for quarter ending Sept 2021
DC calls for zero pendency of self-employment cases

POONCH, Dec 7: To review the performance of banks and line departments for the quarter ending September 2021, District Development Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet today chaired a District Level Review Committee meeting held here in the conference hall of Dak Bunglow.
The meeting was attended by General Manager, DIC, Dr. Zakir Hussain; Lead District Manager Sukhbir Singh; DDM NABARD Kanav Sharma, cluster Head J&K Bank, Sanjeev Kumar Dutta; Director JKBRESTI, district coordinates of all banks and district officers of some sponsoring departments. At the outset, the LDM Sukhbir Singh informed the chair that under Annual Action Plan the district has recorded 37% target under priority Sector and 143 % under non priority sector till quarter ending September 2021( FY 2021-22).
He further informed that till Sept 2021 banks have recorded a total deposit of Rs 3272.78 cr as against Rs 2981.84 cr as on 30.09.2020 showing an yearly increase of Rs 290.94 cr ( 9.75%), while the advances stood at Rs 1466.46 cr as on 03.09.2021 as against Rs 1219.92 cr as on 30.09.2020, with a yearly increase of Rs 246.54 cr ( 20.20%).
The CD ratio of the district has increased from 41.73% on 31.03.2021 to 44.81% as on 30.09.2021 with a growth of 7.38%.
The Deputy Commissioner, who is also the Chairman of DLRC, advised all the banks and sponsoring agencies to join hands to support unemployed youth. He urged the banks to ensure zero pendency in sponsored cases.
He asked the line department to identify genuine prospective entrepreneurs on a fast track basis to boost the economy of the district.
The Chairman DLRC further advised them to involve unemployed youth of the district under dairy sheep farming, fish farming for which youth can avail the subsidy benefits under various welfare schemes.
The Deputy Commissioner strictly instructed the bankers to implement the guidelines in letter and spirit issued by RBI while sanctioning loans under self employment schemes.
