| DPS Udhampur celebrates Christmas | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, Dec 24: Delhi Public School (DPS) Udhampur celebrated Christmas as much more than just a day for opening presents, but as a day of opening hearts to holiness and godliness. An English skit was also enacted highlighting the spirit of Christmas and the birth and sacrifice of Jesus Christ for the sake of humanity. Kids sung carol adding to the festive atmosphere. Santa of Delhi Public School Udhampur who was dressed in red carried bags full of goodies and candies were distributed. The highlight of the program was donation drive. Like every year, this year also Delhi Public School Udhampur, one of the pioneers School in the district inculcated values of caring and sharing by launching donation drive where students and staffers donated fleece, they gave a benevolent touch to the entire celebration by sharing their joy with underprivileged. The idea behind this drive was to bring joy and cheer in the life of impoverished.
Pro-Vice Chairman of the school, Dr. J.C Gupta expressed his delight on seeing such enthusiasm in the children who brought the spirit of Christmas to life. M.D of the school, Vivek Gupta and Director Academics, Sucheta Gupta encouraged the students to understand the values of caring and sharing to make this world a better place to live in. Principal of the school, Dr. Kunal Anand said happiness lies in celebrating together. He further added that we should always remember the phrase Sarva Vishva Kutumbkam and should try to contribute as much as possible. |
