Cong leader Subash Gupta organizes "New Year Milan"

KATHUA, Jan 4: Senior Congress leader and ex-MLC Subash Gupta arranged "New Year Milan" at Jandial Bhawan Hiranagar in which several Congress leaders, workers, Panchs and Sarpanchs participated. All the participants pledged to work unitedly for strengthening the Congress party at grass root level. Gupta congratulated New Year to all present in the function and said that 2021 has been a difficult year for all of us, now it's time to say goodbye to the challenging year and hope for a better 2022.
Subash Gupta while addressing participants pays thanks to all those who always stood with Congress party and working whole heartedly for the upliftment of poor and down trodden. Congress believes in brotherhood, progress, development, prosperity and peace on ground not by way of false slogans
Gupta while addressing the gathering said that small farmers who are in possession and cultivating the land for the last so many decades as prospective owners. These farmers have who have worked day and night and made this Banjar land cultivable instead of giving them ownership right government cancelled their Girdwari and going to evict them from that land. They are small farmers having this land their only source of livelihood and their families are also dependent on this land. More over the most of farmer have no other land except this.
Gupta said that policies of the government are anti-farmer and anti-people. Gupta demanded that government should immediately withdraw the order of eviction and grant them ownership right otherwise an agitation will be started in support of farmers.
Gupta further demanded that tool tax on all vehicles registered in Kathua District should be exempted at Lakhanpur Toll Plaza.
