'We will come with tractors, trolleys & protest in support of our demands'
Terminated employees urge LG to intervene so as to save their future

Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 4: For the third consecutive day scores of youth engaged under the Emergency Covid Response Plan (ECRP) by National Health Mission (NHM) today protested against the Jammu & Kashmir administration and demanded that the termination order of their services is revoked at the earliest.
Braving rains and chilly weather the youth raised slogans against the administration and said that justice should be meted out to them. They threatened that if necessary action is not taken then they would intensify their agitation adding that the administration would be responsible for the consequences thereof.
The protesters said that many schemes are being carried out under the ambit of NHM since 2005 and these are extended from time to time. They said if the other schemes are extended why did the Jammu & Kashmir administration terminate their services? They said that injustice has been done with them and demanded the intervention of LG Manoj Sinha for restoration of their services.
The protesters said that the health care professionals appointed under the ECRP in 2019-2020 in the other states of country are continuing with their services. They alleged that pick and choose method has been adopted to throw them out of the system even though they were referred to as COVID warriors by the people at helm while engaging them.
One of the protesters said that they would come along with all the tractors and trolleys to the protest site and set up permanent place for their renewed protest. Yet another protester said that they have come along all the way with their bedding adding that no force in the world can evict them from the protest site.
