SRINAGAR, Jan 4: A video had gone viral on social media, where the employees of Municipal Council Baramulla were seen destroying the items being sold by the street vendors on their vending carts in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district. DULB Kashmir placed four employees under suspension and attached to Directorate Office Kashmir with immediate effect.
On late evening of Jan 3, a video had gone viral on social media, where the employees of Municipal Council Baramulla were seen destroying the items being sold by the street vendors on their vending carts in Baramulla.
Soon after the inhuman action by a few employees, nitizens took to social media while brewing anger against the officials of Municipal Council (MC) Baramulla wrote that LG should take serious action against these illiterate employees and terminate them from their services.
“This action has compelled me to think where we live, where is humanity, where are those people who support these goons, sorry state of affairs, one of the nitizens written on FB. However a local resident of Baramulla town said that such type of actions are inhuman and it is like the Gundaraj film of 1995 that reminds the inhuman behavior, attitude and arrogance, and the same was witnessed today by the employees of MC Baramulla.
There is a legal way, they could have issued them a notice, or there are other ways, it is shame on MC Baramulla, people are dying here due to poverty, unemployment and now this type of arrogance brings bad name to MC department, LG Manoj Sinha should terminate them from their services, said a local resident.
However, sources while quoting Chairman Municipal Council Baramulla Touseef Raina had said that the cart vendors were warned several times in the past week and action against them was necessary. He however had said that the way employees of MC Baramulla took action against the card vendors i
