Maiden Youth Engagement Programme “YOUTH ECHO” organised

REASI, Jan 4: District Administration Reasi on Tuesday organised “Youth Echo” a Youth engagement program here under Mission Youth.
Scores of youth from across all Panchayat level youth clubs participated in the event which witnessed a mega cultural programme and series of other activities.
The members of the youth clubs displayed their talents by presenting skits, dance items, singing songs, performing mimicry, Rangoli making, demonstration of Karate and by resenting other instrumental performances.
District Development Commissioner, Charandeep Singh, who was the Chief Guest on the occasion, inaugurated the program by lighting the traditional lamp.
ADDC Jyoti Rani, PO ICDS Renu Kumari, ACD Reasi Dr Anirudh Rai and other district officers were also present.
The chief guest felicitated local youth who have become successful entrepreneurs after taking benefits of self-employment schemes. Besides displaying their talent, some youth narrated their success stories to motivate others.
The Youth achievers including those who have excelled in their business, profession, sports, film industry, performance and other arts were also encouraged by District administration. Some other youth gave thematic presentations after covering topics- Har Gaon Haryali, Berozgari se rozgari, Sanitation and drug addiction.
Later, an interaction session of youth was also held with DDC in which they outlined possibilities and scope of their areas in generating employment for local people. They also sought intervention of the district administration in identifying the areas where earning of livelihood is possible.
The DDC said that youth need inspiration, encouragement, guidance and hand holding to look at the space of entrepreneurship and thus, it is very crucial and relevant to have such meets, cultural panorama and awareness programs to bridge the gap, if any.
Stressing on the need to harness the energy and vibrancy of youth, DDC said “I have thought of new initiatives for all our potential youth which will be placed on ground in coming days.” He said government has also introduced many schemes, projects and other skill development programs in which they can get success.
The DDC also said that district administration is planning more innovative programs in future after incorporating suggestions of local youth and urged the participants to avail this opportunity to nurture their talent and make a difference in the society. He further stressed them to stay away from drugs and intoxication.
