Jammu, Jan 4: Dogra Higher Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, Jammu, celebrated “GURU GOVIND SINGH JI’S BIRTH DAY” ON 04.1.2022 with great fervor and religious gaiety under the supervision of Worthy Managing Director, Kr. Gambhir Dev Singh Charak.
The Programme was started with Shabad Kirtan & Verses from “Guru Granth Sahib ji” enchanted by the students in their online classes under the supervision of their incharge teachers & I/c Activity Sheetal Basotra.
Students of DHSS recited ‘Mool Mantra’ Shabads & made beautiful charts of Shri Guru Govind singh ji on the auspicious occasion of gurupurap, incharge teachers of every class gave a lesson given by Guru Govind Singh ji .
Worthy M.D DHSS Advocate Kr. Gambhir Dev Singh Charak in his speech said may the teachings of Guru ji bring wisdom and compassion in all the fellow beings ,may Guru ji inspire you to achieve all your goals and erase the ego with in you only then you will be able to achieve true happiness .
Principal DHSS Davinder kour in her address said Guru Govind singh ji was a learned man. He compiled a number of books and Poetry collections in his life. He declared The Guru Granth sahib which is Sikhism Holy Scripture to be the permanent Sikh Guru. Worthy M.D Sir & Principal Appreciated the efforts of students and encouraged them to follow the path of truth & honesty by our Tenth Guru Shri Govind singh ji.
Vote of thanks was delivered by Vice Principal Ms. Meenakshi Sharma.
In the end ‘Karah Parsad ‘was distributed to the students and Staff members by the Management of the school.
