Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha celebrates Savitri Bai Phule Jayanti

JAMMU, Jan 4: Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Bahu Fort, Jammu celebrated Krantijyoti Savitri Bai Phule Jayanti in the premises of Shri Guru Ravi Dass Mandir Sheikh Nagar Bahu Fort Jammu.
Hundred students participated in the competition on life and struggle of Mata Savitri Bai Phule and Mata Rama Bai Ambedkar on the occasion of birthday of Krantijyoti Savitri Bai Phule. Sham Lal Basson, general secretary Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Bahu Fort, Jammu said that result of today's competition will be declared on January 26.
While speaking on this occasion, Sham Lal Basson threw light on the life and mission of Krantijyoti Savitri Bai Phule and Mata Rama Bai Ambedkar. HE said that Mata Savitri Bai Phule fought throughout her life for the upliftment of women and downtrodden. She diagnosed the real cause of misery of women of general in general and SC/ST/0BC women in particular. Prof Chaman Lal Shivgotra also highlighted the achievements of Phule couple. He said that Phule couple constituted Satya Shodhak Samaj in 1873. He also said that Phule couple also established Bal Hatya Paribandhak Ghreh. Mata Savitri Bai worked for the rights of women especially for widow women.
