| Republic Day arrangements reviewed in Samba | | | Early Times Report
SAMBA, Jan 7: To review the arrangements for smooth Republic Day 2022 celebrations, a meeting of the District and Sectoral Officers was on Friday convened by Deputy Commissioner Samba Anuradha Gupta, here at Conference hall DC Office, Nandani Hills.
Senior Superintendent of Police Abhishek Mahajan; Additional District Development Commissioner T R Shastri; Additional Deputy Commissioner Suram Chand Sharma; Assistant Commissioner Revenue Ravinder Kumar; Programme Officer ICDS Anu Bhel; General Manager District Industries Centre, Surinder Sharma; Assistant Commissioner Development Sidharath Dhiman; Chief Education Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Executive Engineer PWD (R&B), PHE, and PDD Division samba, besides other District and Sector Officers also attended the meeting.
During the meeting it was revealed that the main function will be organized in the Sports Stadium where VIP/VVIP will unfurl the Tricolour and take the salute at the March past comprising the contingents of JKP, JKAP, CRPF, ARMY and NCC at 09:55 Hours.
The DC directed all district heads to ensure adherence to covid-19 guidelines and proper spacing among participants during the event.
Various other necessary arrangements were also discussed in the meeting which included detailed security plan, drinking water facility at the venue, cleanliness and sanitation, seating arrangement, traffic management, power supply etc.
The PDD and Municipal Council were asked to replace/ repair the street / flood lights in the entire town and start installation of adequate lighting at the venue of celebration for security reasons. She further directed Tehsildar to make necessary arrangements for refreshments during rehearsal period.
It was also revealed that the Republic Day rehearsals would begin from January 17 onwards and full-dress rehearsal will be held on Jan 24, 2022. |
