PDD failed to provide adequate power supply: Rajesh Gupta
1/7/2022 11:15:13 PM

Early Times Report

JAMMU, Jan 7: Vice President Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Jammu-Poonch parliamentary constituency Rajesh Gupta has alleged that Jammu is facing the worst kind of power crisis in the ongoing winter season with continuous unscheduled power cuts.
Gupta said the people in Jammu city and other adjoining districts, experiencing harsh winter days are suffering badly in view of the worst kind of power crisis as the Power Development Department (PDD) has miserably failed to provide adequate supply of electricity to the consumers even in the fully metered areas.
“They are charging huge bills to the people and the poor are made to suffer in the winter seasons. The ineffectiveness of the PDD officials and field staff can be gauged from the fact that they roam in the streets and disconnect connections but the department has completely collapsed in providing electricity,” he said while addressing the party leaders.
Gupta said that the people are suffering and the employees of the department are also facing an uncertain future. “This is happening because there is no political government and no one is listening to the people in general,” he said adding that election is the only solution to restore the lost confidence of the people.
