| Saubhagya Scheme a flop show in Rajouri village: Locals | | Public threatens to come on roads if grievance not addressed | | Ankit Kessar

Rajouri, Jan 12 : The people of Village Lah of Tehsil Thannamandi, District Rajouri have alleged that no benefit of Central Govt’s Saubhagya Scheme has reached them. Under the scheme, electric poles were to be installed and power distributionwas to be ensured but till date in some ares even poles haven’t been installed. Even where poles have been installed, no transformers have been installed due to which public has been suffering.
The locals have alleged that while some areas got covered some have been kept bereft of power supply. People allege that without transformers installation of poles is useless.
They stated that till date various delegations have met Deputy Commissioners and Officials of PDD but of no use. No transformer was installed in their village. The locals alleged that only people with proper approach get benefitted and common people remain untouched of basic facilities.
People threatened that if the same situation continues, they would be left with no option but to block the roads and protest. They siad that they are bow feeling complete hopelessness.
There is unprecedented power crisis in the district. Public has alleged that such situation has helpless situation of power distribution has never been witnessed before in the district. |
