Kavinder reiterates Govt's commitment to overall development, kick starts works in Ward No 52

JAMMU, Jan 13: Giving a push to the development activities, former Deputy Chief Minister and Ex-MLA Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta kick-started the work of lanes and drains at Ward No: 52, Gandhi Nagar here today. The aforesaid work is estimated to be completed at a cost of Rs. 35 lakh.
In his address, Kavinder Gupta said that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) believes in 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikaas and Sabka Vishwas' as a result of which the party has been progressing by leaps and bounds with each passing day. He said that it is the performance of the party and its government on ground especially in terms of development that speaks for itself. He said that while the government stands committed to overall development of every area especially in Jammu and Kashmir it is necessary that people also ensure proactive participation by monitoring the works especially the quality of material used in the developmental works.
Kavinder also impressed upon the elected Corporators to display extraordinary activeness to ensure the overall development of their respective wards. Referring to work started today, he said the execution of works has been initiated and it will be completed with no compromise on the quality of work so that people don't have to suffer in the future.
The people of the area apprised the former Dy CM about their problems including lack of some basic facilities. After listening to them patiently and taking note of all their genuine demands, Kavinder assured that their concerns will be addressed at the earliest.
Among others present on the occasion were Corporator Ward 52, Ajay Gupta; Ankush Gupta, District General Secretary; Neeraj Lucky Puri, Corporator and President Gandhi Nagar Mandal besides Pushpinder Singh, Ashwani Gupta, Nitin Thappa and Rajinder Kumar.
Meanwhile, Kavinder Gupta attended the funeral of son of the soil Rohit Chib of J&K Police who achieved martyrdom during Kulgam encounter the other day in which one Pakistani terrorist was killed.
Paying rich tributes to the martyred cop, Kavinder said that it is a moment of pride and pain for the people of Jammu as the young cop maintained the Jammu's rich ethos and saga of patriotism as Dogras known for their bravery and valour are always ready to lay down their lives to defend the nation.
While expressing his sympathies with the bereaved family, the senior BJP leader said that the nation shall always remain indebted to the martyrs as it is because of their supreme sacrifice the people live peacefully across the nation.
