19th January 1990 doomsday for Kashmir Pandits: Er Rishi Kilam
1/19/2022 10:57:33 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 19: While Interacting and briefing with media persons Prominent Social Activist Er.Rishi Kilam National Joint Secretary & Spokesperson Youth Wing of NCP said that 19th January 1990 was a doomsday for Kashmir Pandit Community when they were told to leave the valley within 24 hrs.
This was the day when kashmirayat was murdered and the sinful act was exposed.
How the community survived till date God alone knowns. The wounds will not heal up.
Er.Rishi said that it is ironic that the issue of Kashmir Pandit Migrants is still unsettled and no substantial decision is being taken by the BJP government till date. Er.Rishi said that We don't talk of the immediate return of migrants we mean to settle their economic issues and Lack of facilities till they are called migrants.
Rishi said that he is confident that a large no of KP Migrants will not return back to the valley because of unsettled issues with the community.
Some leaders are without knowing the exact consent of the migrants advocating their cause.
Rishi said that each and every KP migrant should be taken into confidence before the announcement of the return package.
The viable solution for this issue is to go for a One-time settlement with adequate financial assistance.
Keeping the age and other factors in consideration majority of the community members do not want one more migration to the valley not because of any threat perception.
Resettlement is a long process till one more generation will be no more.
Meanwhile, Rishi pleaded for the cause of ill-fated Youth who are suffering for want of jobs and getting overaged day by day.
Rishi appealed to the central and Lt.Governor to solve the burning issue of the youth who are in distress and running from pillar to post.
