Early Times Report

Jammu, Jan 19: Kashmiri Pandits on Wednesday staged a protest at Jagti townhsip here demanding capital punishment for the killers of KPs and seeking their resettlement in the Valley.
Talking to reporters protesters said, “None of the governments since 1990 have been able to make a list of murderers who killed Kashmiri Pandits 1990 and drove them out of Kashmir.”
They said, “BJP has been ruling the country for the past eight years. But it has used our community for vote bank politics. They are least bothered about resettling us in Kashmir.”
Protesters said, “We commemorate January 19 as Holocaust Day as this was the day when we were forcibly asked to leave Kashmir. The BJP had promised that it would provide us with secured colonies but till date nothing has been done. All the promises that were made to us have proven to be just lollipops.”
They said that they want to return to Kashmir and the killers of their brethren should be hanged. “We have been waiting for the past 32-years for justice but no one has been able to provide us with it.
The BJP Government had set 2022 as the deadline for our return to Kashmir but it’s all set to be missed as the situation in the Valley is still not conducive,” they added.
