Early Times Report

Jammu, Jan 19: The inhuman treatment meted out by the Cluster University Jammu to a COVID positive female student has exposed prevailing anarchy and chaos n the higher educational institutions of Jammu province.
Cluster University Jammu glaring example of the prevailing mess in the education sector of this region. The standard of higher educational institutions in the Jammu region has been deteriorating with every passing day due to political interference.
As far as the Cluster University of Jammu is concerned, it has become synonymous with anarchy, mess, and chaos because those at the helm of the affairs are least concerned to improve the standard of this institute.
During the last year standard of this institution has been deteriorating due to the casual approach of those at the helm of the affairs.
A source in the Cluster University said that this institute has become a victim of political interference because those at the helm of the affairs have been patronized by the higher-ups in administration.
As reported earlier, Jammu district recorded all-time single-day highest Corona cases on Wednesday, the administration of the Cluster University Jammu forced a positive student to appear in the offline examination on Monday.
The COVID infected female student appeared in the offline examination along with other students at Jammu’s GGM Science College
The helpless parent of the student approached the authorities to find out a way but they (authorities) refused to give any relief.
“The inhuman authorities bluntly told us that either she has to drop her exams or she has to appear in person in the examination centre”, the father of the student told the media. He regretted that authorities have adopted an inhuman attitude.
“We can not put the career of our daughter at the stake so we took the risk and brought her in an ambulance”, he said and pointed out that those at the helm of the affairs were shifting responsibilities on each other.
Excepting directing the positive student to appear in offline exams, authorities have not made any arrangement for her. The helpless family hired an ambulance to take the student to the examination centre at GGM Science College.
“After our daughter tested positive our family is already passing through a trauma but the attitude of authorities added our sufferings”, the father of the girl said.
