10th Annual Raising Day of SDRF held in Jammu

JAMMU, Jan 19: 10th Annual Raising Day of State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) function was organized at SDRF 2nd Bn Hqrs. Gulshan Ground Jammu on 19-01-2022. Shri Vikas Gupta, IPS I/C DIG HG/CD & SDRF Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion.
Vinod Kumar, Dy.SP SDRF 2nd Bn. Jammu welcomed the Chief Guest on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Sh.Vikas Gupta, IPS Chief Guest congratulated all the SDRF personnel on the occasion of Annual Raising Day of SDRF and appreciated the role of SDRF personnel for their dedication and professionalism shown during various rescue operations conducted by them in Jammu Province and other allied duties performed by the Jawans from time to time. He highlighted the duties and responsibilities of SDRF personnel as first responders during disasters and pandemic like situations. He gave the brief account of achievements of the year -2021 especially excellent work done by the SDRF personnel during COVID-19 duties performed at DRDO, GMC, Chest Disease and Govt. Gandhi Nagar Hospital Jammu. Besides, he appreciated the role of SDRF personnel during rescue operations conducted at Honzar Kishtwar. He stressed upon the Jawans to keep up their morale high with dedication and devotions towards their duties in future also.
Vinod Kumar, Dy.SP SDRF 2nd Bn. Jammu also presented vote of thanks to the chief guest and all officers present on the occasion. Besides, a working lunch was also served for the officers/officials present on the occasion after observing SOP of COVID-19 pandemic. Among others, Vidya Sagar, Dy.SP Dy.Controller CD Udhampur, Arvinder Kotwal, Dy.SP SDRF 2nd Bn., Yashpaul Singh, Dy.SP Area Commander Homeguards Samba were also present on the occasion.
