| 'LG Sahib travel through Circular Road once' | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 25: The authorities not paying any attention towards Circular Road in Jammu city has triggered outrage among the people.
A group of youth while talking to Early Times said, "This is an important road in Jammu city but has been abandoned by the helmsmen. In the recent past it has caved in twice but no one is paying any attention towards it."
"We have approached the corporator of our area on many occasions but he has just ignored our pleas. If one wants to go to Udhampur he can cover the distance in one hour but if someone wants to travel from Circular Road to the DC office it takes two hours," they said.
"People who are sitting in big offices should come out and travel through this road. They will realize what a common man faces. Is this the Smart City they are talking about," the youth said.
They said, "We request the LG Sahib to travel through this road once to get a feel of the situation."
They said that if the government has no money to repair this vital road it should seek contribution from the people. "If the authorities don't repair this road we will be forced to hire a JCB and get this road cleared," the youth added. |
