Sikh Gurus played pivotal role in nation building: Sat

JAMMU, Jan 25: Former Minister and ex-MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) along with Councillor Ward 17 Nidhi Mangotra reviewed the ongoing works for further construction of Gurudwara at Pacca Talab area of Jammu West. Gurudwara Committee President Dr Surjit Singh, Mandal President Raveesh Mengi, District General Secretary Karan Sharma and several others including local residents and political activists of the area. The works will be done at an estimated cost of Rupees 20 lakhs.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that there was a dire need of taking up the works of Gurudwara and we consider every religion as equal for which equitable development is being done to develop such religiously important places in the Constituency. Sharma stated that Sikhs have played a dominant role in protecting the culture of our country and the Sikh Gurus played a pivotal role in nation building.
He also stated that Congress's cruelty on Sikhs cannot be forgotten and he appealed to the Sikh community to shun the politics of hatred created by Congress and asked them to choose BJP for overall development of J&K and the rest of the country.
Nidhi Mangotra said that this was a long pending demand of the community residing in the area and the same has been met which will provide relief to the hundreds of people belonging to Sikh community of the ward and others.
Raveesh and Karan lauded the works done by Former MLA for overall development of Constituency and giving importance to religiously important places in Jammu West.
Ex-Councillor Balwan Singh, District Secretary Balbir Singh and several others were also present.
