JAMMU, Feb 8: The famous tourist resort Patnitop in Jammu region sans road connectivity but the Tourism Department seems to be in deep slumber and has failed to repair its approach road and other connecting roads.
Patnitop is very famous resort among tourists belonging to Jammu and Kashmir and those who come from other states of the country for all seasons.In summers it is visited for its cool atmosphere as it is situated at dense forests where as people throng this place in winters to enjoy the snowfall and its over all natural beauty.
At such a place when you come down of your vehicle you will be welcomed by the pot-holes and big ditches developed on its approach road which leads across it from one end to another end.
The people who visit this place frequently told that the concerned department has been doing nothing for its maintenance and watch and ward despite a huge income is generated therefrom.
Some tourists while talking to Early Times said that this place is fondly and frequently visited by the people for its scenic as well as natural beauty and it needs proper upkeep to woo more and more visitors to come over here. |
