Jammu, Feb 8: A doctor posted at the Government Medical College (GMC) Kathua was arrested on alleged rape, fraud and other charges.
As per reports the accused doctor namely Goldie Khurana, who was posed as senior resident at the Government Medical College Kathua. He was arrested from a private clinic at Kathua after a woman lodged a complaint against the doctor for raping her and fraud.
Sources informed that the doctor was already married not only once even twice and has divorced from his first wife. The accused was deceiving the third woman and when the victim came to know about his past, she lodged a complaint with police. Police have been investigating this case. A case was registered under FIR No. 5/2022 U/s 420, 376, 198, 417, 506, 468 at Women Cell Gandhi Nagar.
Sources said that the accused was in relationship with complainant, who is said to be a JKAS officer but she came to know that the doctor was cheating her; she immediately lodged compliant with police on rape charge and doing fraud. Police have started its investigation and looking into all information regarding his past particularly about his marriages. Police arrested the accused when was doing his practice in a private clinic. |
