Educational and Motivational tour to Sher-e- Kashmir Police Academy for Ramban District students organized

Ramban, Mar 6: Indian Army in collaboration with JKP organised an Educational cum Motivational tour for young aspirants of Ramban District. The day long tour to Sher E Kashmir Police Academy at Udhampur was attended by 90 students from remote areas of Ramban District. The tour was sponsored by Indian Army and hosted by JKP under aegis of ADGP MK Sinha , IPS, Director of Academy. Media team comprising three vernacular journalists also formed part of the tour and covered the event. Indian Army in their quest to promote women upliftment and empowerment through education sponsored 53 girls students of College & Schools of Khari, Sangaldan, Batote & Chenani Block for the tour. The visit to academy provided a rare and unique opportunity to all the children hailing from one of the remotest corners of the country to learn about the rich history, traditions and ethos of the J & K Police & their contribution in social development of the UT of J & K. Participants were briefed in detail about career opportunities in JKP anrequisite academics and physical attributes required for competitive exams of JKP. Students were enthralled to visit training facilities and curriculum for Police recruit and Officers. A motivational and orientation lecture by SSP SD Jamwal, Dy Director provided deep insight to visiting students about invaluable contribution of JKP personnel and their sacrifices in Nation Building. The children were highly motivated by the interaction conducted during the tour and many expressed their desire to join the Police forces and serve the Nation. A day spent in Police Academy by students who wish to write their own destiny will prove highly beneficial for channelising their focus and energy towards career building. Students paid their gratitude towards Indian Army and JKP for noble initiative and providing this opportunity. During the conduct of visit all COVID protocols were strictly followed. Indian Army facilitated transportation and provided refreshment to all students during the event. Memento were exchanged with Police Academy towards the last as a gratitude on behalf of Indian Army.
