Mayor kick starts construction of tube well in Channi Himmat

JAMMU, Mar 24: Continuing his endeavour to provide better development amenities to the people of Jammu, Mayor JMC Chander Mohan Gupta along with ex-Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta and Raj Kumar Chairman Public Health Sanitation Committee, JMC today kick started the construction work of a tube well at Green Belt Park in Sec 7 of Ward No 50 Channi Himmat, Jammu.
Vinay Gupta Distt President Jammu, Neena Gupta Councillor of Ward No 50, Ankit Gupta Social Media Head J&K BJP, Narinder Gupta (Koki) & other prominent inhabitants of Channi Himmat and its adjoining localities as well as engineers of Jal Shakti Department (Urban), Rajinder Kumar I/c Sanitation Officer along with concerned supervisory staff of Health Section also remained present there during the occasion.
Addressing media persons, Mayor said that with the hectic efforts of both the Councillors of Ward No 50 and 51, the work of 1st phase of this much needed project belonging to Jal Shakti Department has been started today.
He further said that the total cost of this prestigious project consisting of commissioning of three water tube wells is Rs 10 crore and after completion of this project, the long pending demands of shortage of drinking water especially in summer season in the whole locality will be resolved.
While speaking on the occasion, former Deputy Minister Kavinder Gupta also hailed the efforts of JMC and Jal Shakti Deptt towards undertaking this development work for the convenience of the locals of Channi Himmat and its adjoining localities.
Besides this, Mayor in presence of Satpal Karlupia Councillor of Ward No 32 also organized a Public Darbar at Wand Wazira near Pouni Chak Jammu where people in large numbers as well as Booth Level workers (BJP) participated and put forth their issues of public importance.
Mayor listened to their issues with great patience and assured that all their genuine grievances will be sorted out on priority basis.
