Social Activist Amit Kapoor says that FFRC has no mandate to hike transport fee | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 26: Social Activist Amit Kapoor has said that there has been no hike in tuition fee as well as transport fee in Jammu & Kashmir adding that some people want to send feelers in this regard so that hike in tuition and transport fee. Talking to Early Times, Kapoor said that Fee Fixation Regulation Committee (FFRC) has no mandate to hike the transport fee and the same can be done only by the Transport Commissioner or Regional Transport Officer (RTO) Kashmir and RTO Jammu. Kapoor said the Jammu & Kashmir administration has not implemented the Supreme Court order asking it waive 50 percent of tuition fee since the schools were closed on account of COVID-19 pandemic. He termed the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) as an inefficient party and said that BJP has been forced to follow the footsteps of Arvind Kejriwal. |
