Modi Govt establishes new paradigms of progress: Kavinder
4/12/2022 11:34:42 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 12: The BJP government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has established new paradigms for progress in J&K by providing vistas of opportunities to people belonging to all shades of life and setting up world class infrastructure to augment facilities to the common man.
This was said by the senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta while interacting with a number of delegations at his official residence here at Gandhi Nagar.
In this context, a delegation of Lower Gumat Traders called on former Speaker J&K Assembly and put forth their issues which they had been confronting for a long time.
The delegation highlighted the issue of development of the Gumat stairs under the Smart City project. They said it is good that the ancient route to enter the walled city has been taken up by the government for face-lifting and renovation with state-of-art architecture but on the other hand they appealed to the senior BJP leader to ensure that the development of this place doesn’t affect the livelihood of the traders working along the aforesaid stairs since decades.
After giving a patient hearing to the delegation, Kavinder assured that he will take up the matter with concerned quarters in the government and project their demand for consideration and early redressal. He said he will ask the concerned authorities to provide ample space to the existing traders to continue with their businesses at the aforesaid stairs.
Meanwhile, a delegation of Civil Society from Gandhi Nagar constituency met Kavinder Gupta and apprised him about acute shortage of potable water in the constituency. They said that government on one side is assuring tapped water to far off hamlets and rural belts but the scenario in Gandhi Nagar Constituency is getting worse from bad as the water supply is not regular and there are spots where water outages are giving nightmarish experience to the people especially during these days of sweltering heat.
Responding to the demand of water scarcity, Kavinder assured that he will look into the matter personally as there is no reason to believe that tapped water is being denied to people in Gandhi Nagar. He said under the Jal Jeevan Mission, the places which never had thought of getting tapped water are currently enjoying the same without any interruption. He said that he has noted down the issue and soon the problem will be sorted out. However, he asked the people to use the water and power judiciously because conservation of water is the duty of all.
